Objectives

To train highly-qualified computer scientists in the fields of image processing, computer vision, robotics, and mathematical engineering. Our graduates are professionals using today's technologies, and able to acquire the technologies of tomorrow.

To instill in students, the leaders of tomorrow, a focus on working as part of a group, to develop initiative, independence, a sense of responsiblity, and the spirit of competition.

To satisfy the needs of industry.

Organization

This is a joint program between the Dept. of Computer Science of Polytech'Nice and the Dept. of Computer Science of the Faculty of Science.

First year courses are held mainly on the Valrose campus in Nice and are coordinated by the Dept. of Computer Science of the Faculty of Science. Three streams are offered: ENS for students of ENS Lyon studying in the Master's program at the University of Nice - Sophia; IF (Foundations of Computer Science); and LS (Systems Software).

Second year courses are held mainly on the STIC campus in Sophia Antipolis and are coordinated by the Dept. of Computer Science of Polytech'Nice. Many courses in the Master's form part of the Polytech'Nice engineering program curriculum.

- Graduate studies

Eligibility

  • Students who already have a BSc or equivalent can apply to year one of the Master in Computer Science (3 possible course streams).
  • Students who already have a one-year MSc or equivalent can apply to year two of the Master in Computer Science (11 course streams).

Application

  • Candidate selection is on the basis of a written application which will include the student's CV back to and including high-school leaving. Students having successfully completed year one of the Master in Computer Science program are admitted into the second year.

- Co-op studies

  •  Students have the possibility of enrolling in a co-op program for the second year of the Master in Computer Science program. To be accepted into the co-op program, students must be admitted into the Master in Computer Science on the basis of academic results and must be hired as an apprentice by a firm. Students remain admitted into the regular Master in Computer Science program even if they fail to be hired as apprentices.

- Continuing education

Eligibility

  •  Candidates must be job seekers or employees, with a university degree, having at least three years of professional experience in information technology. Admitted students may be eligible for assistance, eg, studies leave. Please contact the continuing studies coordinator.

Application

  • Candidate selection is on the basis of a written application which will include the student's CV back to and including high-school leaving. Selected candidates will be interviewed by the admissions committee.
